Hey guys i just got a XFX 7900 GT Extreme. Yeah i know its nice, enough drooling though over it. Anyways i have a Polaroid FLM-1507 and it has a PC input, Component, S-vidseo, RCA and much more, except DVI :(
Well i wanted to connect my PC to it via Component since its a HDTV Monitor also, it can display up to 1080i, but im going with 720P. Well ive nearly tried everything to resize my desktop so it'll fit the monitor, but i get nothing. It will either oversize, meaning it'll pan outside the screen so theres like a half-inch missing on bothsides of the desktop. Also it'll display the desktop in a little screen on the monitor, and then you would have to move your mopuse around to the edges to see the rest of the screen. But who wants to do this. Sh** i paid $180 for this last thanksgiving, on sale, and i want to play my games and everything on it using HDTV, it looks so much richer and all, drooling.
Ive tried using the Nvidia Control Panel and went to panning and resizing, and i still get nothing, ive tried to automatically resize it, manually and ive come up with nothing. There has to be a way to fix this, i know it.
So how do i fix this problem?

Yea I bought the same TV at the Circuit City black friday deal. Also I really don't know if this will work for you or not but it seems like it might work. So don't get mad at me if you buy it and it doesn't.

After getting this cable just hook it up to your badass graphics card and then set the TV on the YPBPR setting and it should work as a monitor. The only drawback I see would be switching the component cable when you want to use the HDTV.

Hope that works for you.

Is the Polaroid monitor connected to your computer, or not, jusr curious. I did some reading and it looks as if that 720p is a widescreen format, that has a resolution of 1280X720, and this monitor is not a widescreen monitor. So I think im screwed? What do u think guys?
