First off, if this is in the wrong thread im sorry, and if i go on a bit i'm sorry for that also. What it is, im with skydsl on a 1600Kb\s
1way sat connection with dialup as the return channel. I live in the sticks and only have this shite setup cos thers noting else avalable to me nor is there likley to be anything in the future. For this setup i have the privlage of paying €200 a month, i live in Ireland, and if anybodys been here you can understand the price, a fucking ripoff of a country - and im irish so i should know.
Down to my question! No matter what torrent client i use, and theres not many i haven't belive me, i get the same old painfull speed of 1KB\s to a max of 4KB\s download. I have also tried many, many torrent sites private and public but to no avail. Now for that kind of cash id like a little more, just a little more, i'm not greedy, i've been onto skydsl many times and the give me the same old story so no joy there. Is there any thing that i can do to make life sweet? If you know what i mean? is anybody else here in the same kind of situation and did they manage to improve things? Is there a torrent site that perhaps works better with sattelite connections than with other technoliges, i'm clutching at straws here i know but god dam it im gona freak out soon and and head to my local telecoms supplier (Eircom) and i may just bring a loaded gun-;) Sorry if thats not allowed but all i want is for a series of 1s and 0s to be deliverd to my pc rather quickly. I'm gona go now and clean my gun and if in the mean time anybody can help please feel free to do so.....
