I had 2 very old pentium MMX(233MHz) processors and was wondering if i could make the computer into a dual processor. Both the processors dont have the same clock speeds but are defintilty Pentium MMX.I would appreciate if anyone could please help me.If this is not possible,i would also like to know what i could put these computers to my best use besides as a network device or as a TV.

Hello again ashmat,
Wow it seems like yesterday I was running 166MMXs @ 200MHz, and 200MMXs @ 233MHz - but today's FSB are those speeds, LoL :^)
Athlon64 and PentiumD run 200MHz FSB (plus, they are double or quad pumped or even HyperTransported)!
Now, what you have there is Socket7 @ 66MHz FSB.
When Intel abandoned the Socket motherboard for the Slot-style Pentium2, AMD guys created Super7 which ran @ 100MHz FSB. Later socket Super7 mobos even supported up to PC133 memory!
Anyway, the Pentium 233MMX (P55C) can be heavily O/C'd on a Super7 mobo, but hardly at all on the basic mobo which had no multiplier beyond 3.5x.
There is no known dual-CPU mobo setup for this mid-90's stuff, but they were workin' on it (multi-CPU platforms for Pentium3 had appeared by the launch of Win2K in 1999).
These old rigs, people will tell you, run great and actually do pretty good with 256MB memory in 'em - but you will find them with 2 x 16MB installed, LoL - which as you know is basically useless.
I have been told that, if you can get at least 128MB memory in them, they make dandy Linux boxes :^) Linux is great. Linux router/server/firewall etc...
I have a beloved Pentium Pro 200 @ 233MHz here, that runs great and plays TV.

Im sorry "The_OGS" i think u havnt understood what i meant to say.I was actually speasking of the old Pentium 1 processors whose clock speeds are 200MHz andnot about their Bus speeds.I was wondering if i could use both the old processors and use it like a dual processor and not as a dual core.

try & find a motherboard that has 2 socket 7 sockets on it & see if good or not for what you want. might find a dual pentium pro socket board 1st before finding a dual socket 7 board.

Ashmat your question was very simplistic (if somewhat dopey) and I understood it completely.
I took my valuable time to write you a concise, intelligent reply, which you clearly cannot understand.
You have again re-stated your lame question, to which I have already replied.
You, sir, are a waste of time.

U consider ur self to be a genius.I can prove that u havnt understood coz u said "Athlon64 and PentiumD run 200MHz FSB " whereas I said "2 very old pentium MMX(233MHz) processors ".Nyway i wuldnt consider that writing a paragraph describing about your computer takes too long.Nyway the moderator has already cleared my doubt, then y did u spend more time to reply??This forum is aimed at clarifying genuine doubts and is not related to what u cant understand.Next time pls reply only if you know to give a proper answer.

LoL :^) That's rich, ashmat - you would not recognise the proper answer if it smacked you in the head!
I have forgotten more about P55C than you will ever know - it is oldtimers (like me) that have the knowledge.

Genius!? At least I know enough not to answer more of YOUR questions - since you do not understand what you are being told ;^(
