Does anyone know how to format a Sandisk 1GB Cruzer Micro 2?????
I want to get rid of the annoying U3 Launchpad. I want to use it like my Sandisk 1GB Cruzer mini.

You should be able to format it just like any other disk. Right click in My Computer and select format.

ddp--I tried deleting, it says "Cannot delete: Files on this CDRom are read only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CDROM."

DoubleDwn--There are no format options. I tried to format under control panel, Performance and maintenance, Administrative tools, Computer management, Disk management, but the format option is not available.

Anymore suggestions, I'm lost???

ddp---The manual doesn't have anything about formatting, and sandisks website has no info about formatting. This thing has a 8 mb partition on it, and I can't do anything with that part of the "stick". There is a program in that partition called u3 launchpad that comes up when you connect it to a computer. It's a annoying little program that I wanted to get rid of.
