I am getting an illegal disc error in Nero, trying to burn a data disc. Here is the log file.

Maybe you could swap your DVDs and put the NEC as master on the secondary channel instead of slave.

You have to go inside the computer--if you can't then don't worry about it. Some times it makes a difference as to which device is in control as to how burning works.
If you can change them, you will have to change the IDE connectors and maybe a jumper. This also means you might have to physically move the drives. If you don't have the skill or experience--it is OK, it may not help anyway.

In my first post I recommended you go to version 7.0.8.2, also in my second post the same advice, you went with 7.2.0.3............
Nero API version: 7.2.0.3 and 7.2.0.3b
These latest versions of Nero are full of bugs, I recommend you uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install 7.0.8.2 a more stable version from here

I have seen this in several posts, but I have no feedback as to whether it might be causing problems. Running a Nero 6 interface with Nero 7 may be causing problems, or maybe not.

I am still having no luck burning, went through roughly 20 DVD+R. Any other ideas? Update the flash ROM? Funny thing is I can burn cds fine and sometimes data dvds work every once in a while. But no movie dvds.
