That is an illegal program, don't expect any help.

It should be noted that homebrew DS emulators won't play commercial DS games, only homebrew DS games. Also, the ones that do play them are made by Nintendo and some other company, and aren't available to the public.

regarding the ensata emulator that I'm talking about:

ds [source: xavi0r @ tehskeen.com]
A group calling themselves "EXPERiENCE" have just obtained the latest official Nintendo DS emulator used by Nintendo and 3rd parties to test their games. Not only have they released it to the public they have also cracked it to work with any game.

So your statement that it wont play commercial games unless its made by nintendo doesn't apply here because we are talking about ensata with apparently IS made by nintendo. It loads the .nds file and even gives me what looks like framerates but nothing on the screen.

Yes, made by nintendo, which is why it's illegal to download it.

It is for debugging the games, not playing them, why would they need to play the games on a computer anyway? The Dev-Kit this comes with comes with real hardware emulation.

Also, you will find that certain games will work perfectly with it (not going to say what games, so don't ask) my guess is the leaked version was made to be compatible with the games that were currently being developed ut just happens to work with a couple of others, much like the N64 emulator nintendo made for the gamecube was made for Zelda, but happened to work reasonably with other games.

...

Do you even know what a homebrew DS emulator is? I was referring to DS emulators such as iDeaS and Dualis.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ensata

Ensata isn't a homebrew DS emulator, it's an official DS emulator provided with DS dev kits.

deathgod was complaining that the DS emulators he tried using kept crashing, which is what happens with homebrew DS emulators. He then goes on to ask where he would be able to obtain ensata, which shouldn't be available to the public.

Don't tell me my post doesn't apply to this topic when it most certainly does.

I love the "I'm going to make the mods happy" statemtents when people get up on the legality's high horse. Seriously, save your breath. You don't fool anyone. This is a board for running commercial roms on your ds. Don't tell me that you all own every game that you are running "back-ups" of on your ds. But hey, whatever you want to tell yourself or anybody else on this forum to make yourself feel better is fine with me. You go boy, get down with your bad self. You sure fooled god with that one. LOL

Fact of the matter is, I don't care about the legality of anything done on this board or the Internet in general. The only reason I responded the way I did is due to your inability to accept my initial post as a further explanation of why the emulators he had tried prior to hearing of Ensata didn't work with commercial roms. He said they all crashed, I responded with an explanation.

Additionally, I'm an atheist. So that little mention of God doesn't bother me in the least.

How you somehow associated my post with "pleasing the mods" is beyond me. So what if I decide to follow the forum rules? It's not like it's that hard to find Ensata by typing "ensata" into Google anyway. Just because people are too lazy or stupid to pirate such an easy to find program doesn't mean I should cater to them. That only encourages them.

how you somehow assumed I was even speaking to you mister atheist leads me to believe that you post before you think.

Did you even mention any thing about legalities in a single post in this thread? Have a guilty concience maybe?

Out to show us all how smart and argumentative you can be? Hoping to impress us with your extensive knowlege of the obvious. (the google comment) Well you win buddy. We are all in awe of your superb dabating skills. I bow in your presence.

I'm off to research homebrew on the web so I can one day have a knowledge of the subject as vast as your own. I probaly just accidently loaded homebrew on my ds, psp, xbox, ps2 and gameboy and gamecube. Probably just found some torrent or newsgroup file that I accidently slipped into my systems and had them magically appear loaded with OS's and applications. But hey, we all have to start somewhere.

Actually it's for general disscussion of the Nintendo DS, it's just most people only need help with running commercial games and homebrew.

If you really want to work out how to use ensata that much, why don't you email Nintendo, i'm sure if you give them your name and address they'll be happy to send you a manual :D

I think that the original question could be answered with s simple and plain:

"No".

Until now, there isn't a single working (Commercial games) Nintendo DS emulator for PC.

.
