Hi everyone. I just found out this site when googling for stuff I need for my DS Lite to run roms. Great site btw.

I read some topics about this but I still have some doubts.

From what I understood, this is what I need so far:

M3
http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-ds-m3sda.html
(What's the difference between this one and the one with Passkey? They have the same price, but I plan on using the Passcard...)

Passcard
http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-ds-pssc.html

SD card
http://tinyurl.com/mfvm2
(Is 1GB ok?)

Now on to the questions

Will this perfectly work on the DS Lite? (No limitations on playing and saving, no damages to the DS, being able to change the brightness level, etc)

Do I have to open the DS or the battery part for anything?

How do I tranfer the .nds(I think it's that) and .gba games from my computer to the M3 (since I'm downloading the games from the internet)?

Do I need to install anything on the DS or my computer?

Is there anything else I need apart from the 3 things I listed above?

I think that's all... Thanks to whoever helps me on this :)

Divineo is a good site, get most of my modding needs from there :P

Only difference between standalone and one with passkey is just that... the passkey.

1GB should be fine, I have a 1GB CF card for my M3.

Yes it will perfectly work on the M3.

Unless you decide to install flashme (which is not needed) no opening of the DS battery compertment is required.

You transfer the NDS or GBA game using the M3 gamemanager software.

You need to install the gamemanager software on your computer, nothing needs to be installed on your DS.

You do not need anything other than what you have listed.

Think thats all your Q's answered :-)

Thanks man!

I'm glad I don't have to open the DS. I almost broke my PS2 once while trying to clean it...

quick question, will wi-fi gaming still work with M3 and passcard?
Just want to make sure before I go buying them.

Yes, wifi gaming over the internet still works.
Yes, wifi between DS's which both have the game works (even if one game is on the M3 and one is legit)
Yes, wifi works when sending a single cart game to a DS with FlashMe.

Check out http://www.newegg.com for really cheap memory and card reader card prices.

I've bought lots of computer stuff from them. Everything has a 1 year warrantee. I had a product (power supply) go bad after 3 1/2 months and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. Their customer service is pretty good.

I was just about to say what sh1970 already said. They have a nice sd card for just $25 here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820160032

Anyways, I also found this site while looking for ways to backup roms and apps on the ds. Some of the homebrew apps people are making are pretty nice. Check out this page and look 5 comments down:

Msn messenger for the ds, reading mail from the ds, internet radio from the ds... *drools*

I am a little confused. Sorry but I am new to this scene and just got a DS Lite and would like to play some backed up DS on my DSLite

All I would need is:

M3
http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-ds-m3sda.html
(What's the difference between this one and the one with Passkey? They have the same price, but I plan on using the Passcard...)

Passcard
http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-ds-pssc.html

SD card
http://tinyurl.com/mfvm2
(Is 1GB ok?)

But on the divineo site it shows the M3 with a passkey and the one up top that is stand alone. What is the benefit of having a passkey and do I really need it?

Also the M3 game manager software. Where do I find it or is it the same thing as the M3 adapter?

One last thing, should I get the SD or CF. Which is better?

Thank you for any help
