the X1800 GTO runs better when you have FSAA and AF enabled but when its not enabled the 7600GT beats it but i personally would go with the X1800 GTO it has better visual quality

The prices for the two cards are 170 dollars for the EVGA 7600gt vs 190 dollars for the X1800GTO

The X1800GTO and 7600GT are very different. The X1800GTO performes about the same as or a little worse than an X850XT. While the 7600GT is about between a 6800GT and 6800GS. While in some situations the 7600GT does indeed outperform the X1800GTO; on average the X1800GTO is a much better card.

Though by looking at your sig I can see that you would already outclass both.

Im not getting rid of my X1800GT0, the thing is that this videocard was bought by my brother and he wants to make a new pc for him so i have to give him this card. I love the 7800GT but it has to go.

In terms of the 7600gt vs 1800gto I thought if performance was rather same i would go for the 7600gt becuase i can put them in sli when i buy another one but im thinking of maybe buying the x1800gto and wait until directx 10 comes out.

What do you guys think??

Its extremly hard to flash the X1800Gto by the way so dont count on that. I have one and so far have not been able to unlock thoose pipelines. However its still a rockon card and gives you alot of bang for your buck so dont make this a negative for not buying it!
