Greetings, i was just wondering if "scart" works with any old tv, if not, where can i buy a pal to ntsc adapter, ive only seen pal to ntsc adapters on ebay and google, and the ntsc to pal y-fix thing messes up by putting the screen to much to the right and no voices
Thanks

If your TV doesn't have a SCART socket, then get a converter.

That's very strange... one should be just as common as the other. Where are you looking for this thing?

Well, whether it's a big deal or not is really up to you, if you think you can live through a game like that, then it's a big deal :)

really depends on the game. The screen cut off will effect some games much more than others. Like some games like Sniper Elite had the ammo and stuff at the bottom which was cut off any you could not see it which is a bad thing.
1. you can buy a converter like these.

2. you can get a DMS4 Pro mod chip which has built in Y fix and force modes for both PAL & NTSC
3. you can convert the game with a program before you burn the back up.

Thanks, but thats out of my price range heh, but i used the converter with y-fix once on resident evil survivor 2 and the voices didnt sound, and the screen was pushed to the right (i was lucky it had a screen reposition) i guess i just wont get PAL game anymore. Thanks for your suggestions

well, you get a good modchip and it will play pretty much anything you want. It would still cost you about $50 for the chip and the install price would varry unless you are good with a soldering iron yourself. But it is well worth it in the end with the advantages it has over Swap Magic
I have plenty of PAL games for mine.
