Not a lot of memory left over, perhaps you can shut down a few apps running in the background, like antivirus, discon from internet, no multitasking while burning, etc. free up some more memory. Just a suggestion.

Just one question, what brand of media did you use and what format was it +R or -R.
BTW did you previously have Nero6 installed?

i just made another Coaster with v6. however the % being burned changes each time, last time about 55% this time 91%. does this mean anything?

i have installed the nero vision and i have a quick question, is there any way to do a test to see if it will burn without wasting more dvd+r's. i'm already down about 1/2 a dozen.

i ran the microsoft fix for the PXHELP20.SYS to no avail. i still don't know why i can burn dvd+rw but no dvd+r. could the errors in bold be causing the problems? could the last bolded item mean that the drive thinks it's burning a cd not a dvd?

this is because i forgot and left a Coaster in the drive instead of a blank.
i think i'm going to give up on the burning because a family member of mine just got a new computer w/ burner and i can use that whenever i wish so i guess this gremlin beat me. thank you all very much for the help. take care.

my advice would be to get rid of commercial software altogether
instead use free softwares
folder to ISO
image burn (provided by lightening uk)
Pgc edit
DVD shrink
DVD decryptor
ifo edit
menu shrink
VOB blanker
i have burned more than 400 DVD , all of them played as a treat on a stand alone DVD player.
however this technique is not for the faint of the heart
you need to have working knowledge of these softwares
you only get better with time
