Hello,

I am new to this forum, and hope you can be of some assitance.

I have added an Additive Blend Fade between two clips in a new movie and would like the Duration of the fade to be about 5 seconds, but every time I try to change the Duration under the properties of the Fade, it automatically changes it back to 1.00 seconds.

It might be worth noting that it is going from a 10.0 sec video into a 16 minute video. Not sure if it make a difference, but...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In NV4 under the "More" Button there is an option for adding effects to the timeline with options of "Fit to Space" or "Move following objects". If NV3 has that, you might see if it will help.

My transitions seem to be about 2.5 seconds as default and seem to hold longer times as necessary. The only thing I might suggest otherwise would be maybe the preceeding video is not long enough for a longer effect. Try adding a longer video to test.

The software actually does not allow me to make the transition longer than about 15% of the video that it is attached to. For instance, if the video is 10 seconds, the longest transition time will be 1.97 seconds. I would like to be able to make it all 10 seconds (or something reasonably close to that time).
