Hi darkred,
Strangely, liquid cooling systems can actually have higher CPU temp's at idle, than air cooling.
This is in fact beneficial - very similar to air-cooled vs. liquid-cooled motorcycles.
Liquid cooled engines are kept in a very narrow temperature range; not too cold, not too hot.
Air cooled engines fluctuate wildly in temperature by comparison, running cooler (than liquid) when they first start, then rapidly heating/cooling erratically throughout their operation.
Similarly, a liquid cooled CPU heats up rapidly to its operating temp, then will vary from this temp only slightly whether idle or at full load.
My air-cooled CPU says 32C right now, but that is 'underclocked' at XP2500+ and will spike to ~60C under high MHz and/or heavy load.
So, your 48C CPU is not bad, seems a bit high but if it changes little under full load there's no problem - it's liquid cooling.
For all these reasons, in theory, your CPU should last forever :^)
Because it is not expanding/contracting changing temp dramatically all the time.

70C CPU? Not good (even at full load, in a hot room).
Big CPU cooler, lotsa copper, 92mm fan, Arctic Silver. Install properly.
Even an Intel CPU should idle in the 40's...
