Put it this way, there isn't a virus that affects the PSP yet.

Ya, its possible. If u get an iso and do not check it for viruses, there is always a chance u can brick ur psp by putting that iso/program/homebrew on ur psp. The morale of the story is to scan everything u dl, better safe than sorry.

svtstang- Well i think what it does is it writes flash, wile the psp is doing i too, so the system crashes. The psp is no useless, when u turn it on, it will just flash and then turn back off again.
But the mod-chip can fix that, because it has another flash.
:)

Hers chums the first PSP Virus!
October 6, 2005
Sony PSP Virus Discovered
By Jane Pinckard
Discuss this now (4 posts)
Today Symantec Security Response experts identified the first Trojan that targets Sony Playstation Portable systems, Trojan.PSPBrick, as a Category 1 threat (Category 5 being the worst). As of today, there are no confirmed infections, and we'd like to keep it that way!
The virus is designed to look like a downloadable hack that lets users run their own games on the PSP. Once installed, it deletes system files and breaks the PSP. The user must choose to download it - which means you're safe if you don't go around taking files from strangers.
Symantec is working on analyzing the threat now and we will have more information this afternoon.

It's highly doubtful that the virus actually works. Being that there's only 4 posts there, I also doubt that it was a very big deal.

They don't care if we hate or like them. They just want their name to be known, kind of like Fanjita and MPH.

I know that, but Im just saying people that create viruses just want to have their name known, just as Fanjita and MPH's names are known.
