[i am in 2 minds whether this belongs in ps2 backup or ps2 game section, but as it relates to a backuped version of the game, i will post here]

i have recently purchased swap magic 3.6 and downloaded various games which i have burned successfully to good media.

the games seem to run fine, however with mgs 3 once through the initial cutscenes etc (which play fine) the game automatically goes to the pause menu, as if the start button it being held down.

there is no way to get back into the game, unless i plug in my ps1 controller (which instantly allows me to unpause the game). but the game is impossible to play like this, as you need analogue to run.

i am playing the NTSC version on my PAL ps2, which is the only reason i can think why this may be happening. but that really shouldn't be an issue with swap magic

i know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with my ps2 controller, as this doesn't happen on any other game. i have searched forum after forum for an answer, but there seems to be no one with a similar problem.

any help or advice on this would be very welcome!

considering that you " downloaded " it, it may have some corrupted sectors.

Rent the original or get a lend of it and try it.
