I followed this guide: http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/dvd9single.php

but I have no idea what it means by the "Now add the IOP Directory", what is that? do I make it? and whats in it?

I skipped the IOP part and just carried on. Will it work?

Look on the disc & you'll see a folder called 'IOP' - this is the IOP Directory it mentions. It contains all the PS2 info/operational files required for the game to load.

Erm.......NO!
Lets put it this way; If you went into your 'WINDOWS' folder on your PC & deleted the 'SYSTEM32' folder, do you think Windows would still work? lol.

Check this site...

http://list.ps2hd.com/

for compatibility/modes etc.. If its a DVD9 game it has a tutorial for the game to flatten it to DVD5, contained in a link beside its name, on the right hand side. Just click the correct icon.

hmm the tutorial link you mentioned seems very similar to the one I used except it doesn't say anything about IOP, so maybe I'll try their method and see if it works, because for some reason I don't have an IOP folder

you seem sure about the IOP thing ace1uk, but even my mgs2 doesn't have an IOP folder, I just popped it in and checked.

Anyway I got it working, all I needed to do was sort the filelist in its original order, thats it. Thats the only thing the tutorial didn't mention, it just said to drag and drop everything, but if you do that it wont sort itself in the right order.
