has anyone tried to back up this game, i tried but the screen went black after i picked a game to load, if anyone can help me with this game i really need it thanks

If you're using a Swap Method to boot, eg; Swap Magic, then (at 4.37Gb) it'll require rebuilding, since SM cant boot games over 4.35Gb TOC.

ok just rebuilt with the gnie tool, comes out at 1.89gig burnt it on a 8x verb disc at 4x an loaded with swap magic 3.6 on a slimline ps2 v12 and it works perfect, hope this helps

ok last night i tried rebuilding using the method posted at the beginning of the forum but i couldnt find a working cd/dvdgen and i dont know any other way of rebuilding ive been looking around the site but i cant find it

there is a link in my sig to the gnie tool u will hav to register to download it but only takes a sec, an as i said i rebuilt it with gnie tool an works great

no probs if u need any help with it just ask and ill guide u thru it.
wen u get it click the plugins and a drop down menu will appear then select shrinker_ps2_psp_cddvd5,
then click open and browse to ur iso file
then use the 4 numberd buttons near the bottom
then u will have ur finished rebuilt iso ready to burn

well the program worked great it was easy to use but i tried booting up the game using my swap magic discs and it worked but it has the menu with street fighter alpha, street fighter alpha 2 and so on...once i pick a game to play it just goes black and nothing else loads after that, the game after rebuilding is 1.9gb it seemed small but im not sure what else to try...anymore ideas? thanks

what media are u usin
what speed are the discs
what speed did u burn at
if u answer them might be able to help more as mine doesnt freeze at all, all the games load and play fine

im using philips DVD-R 1x-8x and fujifilm DVD-R and ilo DVD-R and all three dont work, they all work on all of the other games ive backed up and i burn them at 2x 4x and 8x and they all didnt work. the philips discs that i use never fail me this is the first game that has given me trouble

did u burn it at 4x on a phillips as they seem to be ur best discs, most ppl will tell ya these days to burn the game at half the discs speed.
u cud also try givin ur ps2 laser a clean

yeah i tried every speed, i dont know whats going on, every other one of my backups work its just this one, it reads and everything but when i choose a game to play off of the menu it says now loading and then it fades to black

hmm this is strange really not sure what it can be as mine plays fine, u cud try gettin the media codes off ya discs then have a look in the best media sticky and see were thay rate, maybe it just needs better media.
sorry i cant help anymore
