Hi guys,

I have a packard bell 6093, with the following motherboard:

Would my motherboard be compatible with a midi-tower?
for the following one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KL-188-in-Silver-with-USB2-0-Audio-8cm-Fan-...

I'm not fussed about the PSU as I will use the one that comes with the case, that shouldn't be a problem right?

Also does anyone know any guides which shows how to open components inside the computers, I found a few but with no pcitures.

Anyhelp is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

The case that you posted will fit a full sized ATX board. Your msi board is ATX form factor, so you will be fine. As far as a guide, I dont know of any off hand, but google is your friend. You should be able to find some good tutorials rather quickly.

Wow, the third guide is very good. Thanks the guides will definetly come in use.

At the moment all I want to do is just change the case, i'm assuming that all I need to do is disconnect the old PSU in the old case, disconnect the CD/DVD, hard drive etc and remove the AGP and PCI slots, right?

I don't want to tamper with the CPU, can I leave the CPU on the motherboard and just move the whole motherboard over to the new case without even touching the CPU? or does the CPU need to be removed as well?

leave cpu & cpu heatsink assembly on motherboard. also good time to clean out the dust off heatsink & motherboard. other than that yes about drives & cards.

Thanks so much ddp i'm just relieved that the CPU does not need to be tampered with, I will be ordering the case soon I will keep you guys posted on the outcome.

oo you havent completly answered his questions. You can keep the psu in the case but its not recommended as it most probably will be a crappy one! So if i were you id get a new Psu.
Personally i recommend ThermalTake!

Lecsiy thanks for your response, I might just leave the PSU in their instead of buying a new one. I have 2 Dell PCs which have high specs, the case and PSU is for a low spec PC, its processor speed is 900mhz, 256mb RAM...

Or I might just use the old PSU from the existing case, this should be possible, right?
