im using divxtodvd to convert my episodes of lost to dvd format. but i was wandering how many episodes coming at 350MB each could i fit on to on 4.7gb dvd-r after transcoding. i need to kno this so i can convert a certain number of episodes at one time so i dont waste my time making mistakes as divxtodvd converts the videos and stores them on to one folder.
i plan to use nero to burn the folder on to disc.
thanks for any help given.
the episodes are about 42minz each on average.

after the conversion to mpeg2, you would probably only get about 4 episodes per disc

i havent bothered to wait for it to finish converting as i thought that it would be pointless if it has errors in it.

mine says that all the time, but the end result works and i havent had an issue watching the converted files.
Try it and see for your self..............
if you have an issue, repost and i'll call the big guns who did the product testing on this application to add to this thread

the thing is that i was recommended to use DivXtoDVD to convert my lost episodes as people have said that it doesnt produce end results with audio sync problems.
do you think this is true. i want a perfect dvd discs with about 4 episodes with no audio sunc problems. you think DivXtoDVD will do the job.

divx to dvd is a good program but if you still have audio sync probs you may need to upgrade from the free version to the paid one.The free version was DivXtoDVD, the paid version has a name change and is called convertx to dvd.Its still relatively cheap and also allows you to get the free upgrades

no issues yet except for one where the free version couldnt find a correct decoder to the file i was trying to convert, so i upgraded to a beta version that they wanted people to try, version 1.99 and had no probs whats so ever.
Still using that one even though they changed the name and have upgraded it

during the conversion ive seen on the log that 1/2/3 frames have been dropped due to conversion rate (it increases as it starts converting the next video). 3 frames being dropped?is that bad?will that have a big impact on the dvd enough to make audio sync problems??
