Problem opening Bittorrent

Whenever I try to open Bittorrent I get the error message: "Windows cannot access the specific device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I've uninstalled it and downloaded the newest version but I still get this message. Whats the deal?

Uhm...not enuf info.

The original BT client, Bram's, doesn't have a GUI that you can "open." You have to d/l a torrent, and assuming you installed it correctly, it'll just open and accept the .torrent.

You might try uTorrent, it's got a nice graphical interface, and is fairly easy to use and is very lightweight.

The downloader I had I could open as a program. And now I can't it gives me the error message.

If you run AVG anti-virus, it may have wrongly identified Bittorrent as a Trojan. There is another thread about this.
