Shauntay, he is using pro evo 5 to refresh the toc to dvd, so it should work.
2 thoughts:
PE5 might not be big enough (don't have the game, so i don't know how big it is).
Or, your not using the slide card correctly. Have you been able to play any burnt games?

here's your first problem..
You never use the eject button except for putting in swap magic. After swap magic loads, never, ever, under any circumstances use the eject button. You must pull out the tray with the slide tool when it asks for boot mode. So pull out the tray, _then_ put the game in, then close it (BY HAND) and lock it. If you press eject at all during this sequence it'll screw it up

Pro Evo 5 won't be big enough to use as a TOC refresh to load Black.
PES5 is under 2Gb, and Black is over 4Gb.
You need to TOC refresh with a high TOC disc, like Devil May Cry, at 4.37Gb
EDIT: Dunno why you would be TOC refreshing anyway. If you've got SM CD version, surely you've also got the DVD version? They come as a pair when you buy them.
