is there anyway that i can remove codecs from movies such as xvid or divx cause my dvd player can't play movies that use them

try going into control panel>add/remove programs. they might be in there and then you can uninstall them. if not, go to your start menu>programs and see if there is a folder for them there.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
