I was wondering if anyone know where i could get a hd loader that doesnt need me to reformat my hd(got to much stuff on it) and supports a firewire 250GB Seagate NTFS file system setup. its over half full which is why i dont want to reformat it.

EDIT- oh, right, i have a slimeline.

If you have a Slim PS2, you need to get USBeXtreme or USBAdvance instead. Have a look at http://www.hdadvance.com/ for what USBeXtreme is. To get USBAdvance get it from here: http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=hd.html

but is there anything that i can just use without formating the drive? i have already used 179GB of a 250GB drive and i cant just copy all that to another drive.

You could try partitioning the HDD, although I'm not sure if the PS2 will read it like that... also you can't use a firewire HDD with the PS2, it has to be a USB one

oh, i forgot to put "/usb" after the firewire. its an external that has 2 firewire ports and a usb 2.0(i think) port. also, what could i use to partition it? i have system commander 7(i think) and a older one.

Any partition program should work... have a look in http://www.download.com/ for a good partition program, I use partition magic, but that you have to pay for..

do know if that partition magic will let you partition your drive without reformating?

Yes, but you need to defrag your HDD first
