It's not the Azureus speed guy is it??
I just read through and chucked some things in that might be helpful..How did you work him out???.
I cleared most of my subscribed threads earlier. It was getting like creaky's list..nearly 200 and my mailbox was feeling the strain :)

This whole thread has very little to do with p2p.You should be in a hardware problem thread like http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/111 there may be better ones but I aint doin all the work for you seens how everone else did.Just do some searching.
Personally I have a surfboard(motorola) modem with a linksys router.I got cable service and never had a prob.My pc never goes into standby. This aint a freakin laptop. You said your freinds were doing it so maybe asking them would help too.Noobs would be suprised but sometimes just unpluggin it(whatever it is) for 5 minutes can solve it 8/10 times.Good luck.

Just to continue this silly thread...
Standby or hibernate mode...doesn't that kill any p2p processes anyway??
It most certainly does with mine. Though mine is never off either. Doesn't like getting cold and doesn't like booting when it's been off for a few hours...Goes off and sulks instead somewhere in the POST..That's old age for ya..they get onery, and like to be treated nice.. lol

Oh I know who it is, its the if I say ORO like this I'm happy guy, if I say ORO!! like this I'm going to kill you etc, you can also tell by the way he post's.
Quote: you know i may go a little off track here, but i'd rather do that then open up a whole new thread, and pollute the forum room.
everyone seems to think Utorrent and ABC and azerus are good clients.
i personaly prefer BitTorando and Bicomet, even though bitcomet has a bad reputation.
but i dont like azerus that much.
and utorrent seems to take forever to download, whereas utorrent dosent even start to download.
If I remember correctly, Neph banned you because you where going off topic and had been warned not to & still continued, try and keep it 1 qeustion per thread and don't worry about forum pollution too much, as long as you dont multipost your fine.

Who is Daniel?
I am guessing it is either, Rav009 or more likely Mr.Fiend, and to think I was beggining to wonder what his name was.

So they moved this crap to the hardware section huh? Thanks ddp ;)
Man, I have never been banned so I wouldn't know why people do that. The topic is stupid anyhow.I mean you need to go to the manufacturers website and trouble shoot or just stop being a tight wad and get a new modem/router.
On the bright side they sell router modems combining both a router and a modem in one which could save you some cash.

i dont think you guys got my original question so i will put it to you another way ok?
Is there anyway i can continue downloanding whilst my computer is in STAND BY. my friends can do it and they all have standard modems with the only power source coming to it via usb, i want to do the same, but i cant, i dont know why, i HAVE asked my friends how they do it, but they are just as baffled as me.
Now i will put it in another way ok?
How can i keep my usb ports, open/on/or what ever it is called, whilst my computer is in standby?
thnak you all in advance.
moving on; to Tycobb

if this is such a piece of crap, which i believe it is, why do you bother to read it, and post messages on it?

I believe I answered it before. In standby/hibernate everything shuts down with the machine just waking up on a keypress, mouse movement or network activity if "wake up on LAN" is enabled.. It's only the monitor that will be going into standby... not the computer. Look in the APM settings in the bios or monitor settings.
Hey Ty...is he off again??

@bluray I only posted the first time to say this is in the wrong section and to try and help someone who no matter how many times you tell him the answer he still doesn't get it.The fact that this was moved only justifies what I said.
My second post's was an acknowledgement of it being moved and to tell you what you already know. And that's that you need new hardware.

wtf are you talking about!Usb has nothing to do with p2p in any way, shape,or form! This is not even close to your first post.

You just said it was a piece of crap. So why do you bother reading it or posting? Eeewww burn!
@jan hey.I dunno I think I just gotta whip him into shape and he'll be fine.lol
