problem capturing video with Nero 7

Hi

I am running a copy of Nero 7 Premium. when i try to capture video from a VHS, I keep getting either messages that state the capture device could not be initialised or if it does get video i get an error message at the end of the recording saying it cant translate the video. If i kill the audio input it works some of the time.


I dont have alot of codecs
I have a pinnacle DC10plus capture card
The audio was coming through the sound card

ANy help or suggestions on how best to use Nero to capture and edit VHs would be really appreciated.

on a side note the reason i have had to move away from pinnacle 8 is that it keeps telling me there is a problem eith the licence installation and asks me to reinstall..only to arrive at the same problem.

Someone on one forum said you needed some type of hardware patch and it would work. In your case, maybe the fact some of the software isn't functioning correctly is messing up you capture. Check the sites above and see if they help.

I assume your are using NeroVision 4 to capture the video, and if so what version of either NeroVision 4 or Nero 7?
