There is, but if you downloaded them chances are that they are already compressed about as far as they would go.. and it wouldn't compress them a great deal anyway.. maybe only 20MB or so. It's not worth the hassle in my opinion to try and compress them further with something like WinRAR... you won't free up much space for it to matter.
Just wait 'til you get hold of some more discs... it might be worth investing in a new hard drive to add in your computer too if you regularly fill up your present one.. the best buy at the moment in £ per GB is a 250GB hard drive at around £50.. I know that maybe you might not be able to afford that right now, but it's worth thinking about as an 80GB hard drive would cost you around £35, so for an extra £15 you would have 3 times the amount of storage with the 250GB see?
7z has a higher compression ratio compared to WinRAR, I'd go with that if size is really a matter. Although WinRAR seems to be more well known than 7z, I expect that'll change soon.

nothing is compressed that much,
the reason why it extracts and appears to be a big file is because that game contains dummy data which actually takes up no space at all.
Did you try google - it came as the first result: http://www.7-zip.org/ . There's documentation on that site that you can read to help you figure out how to use the program.
open winrar,and load in the image you want to compress
right click on the iso image and select "add files to archive" >> a window will pop up
select compression method > best = smallest fastest = biggest
then select the amount in size each rar you want it to be
as a rule of thumb anything over 700 mb should be 50,000
so "split volume to bytes = 50,000 (you need to type that in)
click ok
ps i have tried 7-zip,and there is not much difference in the overall size after compressing
winrar is the overall best compresser,effiency/speed/size are all good,thats why most people use it
