What is go.exe?

On a couple of dvd's they have a program go.exe and both of the dvd's are sony dvd's. What exactly is this program? I tried to do a search on it but did not find very much information on it.

Did you ever hear of Sony Rootkit virus, if not then do a search and here is a just a quick reference.

It's either a built-in media player like PCFriendly/Interactual, or a custom browser for add-on HTML and mixed-media content. I forget which though I've seen it run. As InterActual is spyware, and Sony has a history of using malicious tactics against its customers, I wouldn't put it past Sony to attempt install a rootkit or spyware, but there is no evidence of that at this time, and, at least with XCP, the problem became obvious immediately as the rootkit prevented both normal and illegal usage.

In any case, if you disable autorun on it shouldn't be a problem.

I opened go.exe and it just opened up windows media player, it appeared to run the dvd but did not run correctly. I opened on my other computer and it opened the default dvd player but I don't know if it would run ok because that program always crashes when you try to play a dvd. So it seems that it opens your default dvd player.
