Hi clemo,
You could use any Socket775 mobo.
Motherboards for Intel that support PCI-express video will usually also support DDR2 memory... since you desire the former but not the latter, maybe you best keep your ECS mobo - you can buy it a nice Radeon X1600Pro (AGP) w/ 512MB for not much money.
Otherwise, step up to something like an Asus P5WD2-E mobo (Intel 975X chipset) which will work right away, and will also run Conroe CPU when it is released later this year.
But your rig is fine, it has lots of RAM (too bad not 128-bit dual-channel) but it is okay. Price a Radeon X1600 AGP for it, then lay your plans for a whole new rig in future :^)
Regards

ABit AB9 Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 @ 2.4GHz
2GB OCZ PC2-6400 Platinum XTC R2
ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB
Enermax Liberty 620W
320GB/16MB WD, 150GB/16MB Raptor
Plextor PX-755SA DVD (SATA)

I have a question? My old Abit KD7 motherboard w/ 2600+ Athlon is startinting to die.
I am looking at three combos:
Asus A8V Via chipset Socket 939 3200+ 2.0ghz,
Asus P4P800SE Intel chipset Socket 478 Celeron 3.2ghz,
Asus P4S800D-X SiS chipset Socket 478 Pentium 4 2.8ghz.
I would really appreciate your opinions on these motherboards ,and please give me some advice for heatsinks for these motherboards.
I am recently disabled and can't afford to build me a new "Crack Head" system.I want to be able to reuse my CoolerMaster Cavalier Clear Side silver case,my 500wt ps,4x512 2700ddr ram, 5200 128mg nvidia card, nec and maddog burners, promise ide card w/ 2x250 maxtor hd, 250 maxtor boot in enermax pullout rack and 120 maxtor backup in enermax pullout rack,9in1 card reader in a silverstone adapter and floppy for ghosting.
Thanks for any help. I mostly burn and check AD.

Thanks for the heads up. I only used AMD in the past, but have built many Intel for relitives.

Could I get a reccomendation on a good heatsink. All my AMD experience has been socket A- 462 pin. I haven't worked with the newer AMD's yet and don't want to learn the hard way what works good or not.

I will miss Socket A .
