hi i got a quick question

i have a laptob with windows 98
i wish to upgrade it but i dont have a cd drive to put the windows xp or 2000 disk.

i bought a hp dvd writer dvd 420e.
but i do not have the drivers

i screwed up my laptop so now i need to reinstal windows i tried the hp site but they dont let u download the drivers

any1 have any ideas how i can get the driver

my windows does not autometiclly detect the dvd writer because its old...... really old.....
