So I guess all the problems you guys were having w/ the same rip kit he made will be fixed w/ this patch. You can apply this patch w/ UMDGen (I think) or PPF-O-MATIC "v3.x" (Can't remember the version number it has a '3' in it somewhere tho) This seems worth a try, guys.

LOL u actually asked him that? I beleive it was expalined on ps2nfo, but anyways, once again you show effort. Did you contact him at maxconsloe? Seems like thats where all the patch makers/rip kit makers are.

Sure did. I don't care what the other sites say. When I have a question about a rip kit, I go straight to the author. I don't need to be dealing w/ hear-say and misconceptions on something as sensitive as this dang Splinter Cell issue has been.

From what I gather, it fixes the issues w/ the 864MB rip kit. No more freezing and glitching. Sounds right, man. I mean, he must've gotten plenty of reports there were problems w/ his rip kit. Plus, you can't make a rip kit unless you have the game. He must've been playing it and experienced the glitches for himself and made this patch.

While this thread is still short, I've gotta ask: Coast to Coast is a 2.60 upgrade, right? I think it is... bummer. If it's 2.50 by chance, check this out:

You will also see a Syphon Filter Glitch Fix. erm... I didn't know there's a glitch w/ this game. I have been playing for a week (Rip Kit version) and it's great! No probs whatsoever.
BTW, I'm thinking about ripping now... Too tempting. But I can't. Don't wanna miss the ambience... ahhhh... *bangs head on keyboard* what should I do? arrrrrgh....

OUTRUN IS NOT BOOTABLE!!!!! Its not the fact that its a 2.60 game, cause half of my games are 2.60 and work perfectly with devhook. The ALLPSP file is encrypted to the point of being a waste of time, btw its not that great of a game anyways lol

Yea, I just upgraded and you're right stang. It does suck... WAIT - WHAT??? I JUST UPGRADED?! SONY, YOU TRICKED ME INTO UPGRADING.
How can ppl say that anyway? Like the Sony's Ken Kutaragi came to their house, drugged their tea and made them upgrade while they were woozy.

unless there is a second ISO patch, or you are talking about a later release.. it still freezes where i am going up some stairs at the end of the oil rig level.
i just gave up at that point.. too much time invested in a subpar SC game.

Just d/l my savefile I put up for you guys. It's not much farther than the Oilrig. That'll get you past that part anyway.
And a/f/a it being sub-par? Man, I LOVE this game. I think it plays just like SC for XBOX. Controls are a bit diff, but I LIKE that. iono... I love the game...

When devhook was first released i almost upgraded, the damn 2.70 upgrade option was right over the UMD game option. That really pissed me off, havent seen the upgrade option sine .41 thank god, cause i would be the "proud" owner of a 2.70 by now.

I have enough of a problem smoking a cigarette and playing PSP! I'd be pissed if I spilled my beer on my PSP and Sam Fisher turned around in game and said, "Hey! Down here! You got any more beer?"
But don't talk about beer here. That's as bad as ISOs. Next thing we're gonna get is: "Hey svtstang, how do I get beer on my PSP? Which loader do I use?"
