Hello.
I've been wanting to backup some of my DVD-sized PS2 games.
Now, i've backuped a few of my PS1 games, but this one is a PS2 game...so, which one is better to use? DVD-R or DVD-RW's?
And what brand should I use?
I have Memorex DVD-RW's on me, but as from what I have read, it's DVD-R's that you need to use.
Any help would be great.
Thanks!

EDIT - I found the answer.
So, can I still use these DVD-RW's? Or am I gonna have to go out and buy some DVD-R's?

DVD-R. RWs are bad for your laser (if they work).

Read this before you ask these kind of questions please: the sticky is there for a reason http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/240341

Yeah, I just red the stickies and I finally found the answer.
Sorry about that.
But would the DVD-RW still work?
I really don't feel like goin out to the store, so I guess i'm going to have to try these.
Also, after reading, it says SONY has some decent DVD-R's...
Would you recommend those?

You can use DVD-RWs assuming they are good quality (Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Sony), but they do a lot more damage to your laser compared to a DVD-R. You can use them to try and see if a game works, but I wouldn't use them to play a game. Also just because a game doesn't work on DVD-RW doesn't mean it won't on a DVD-R, because DVD-R does work better with PS2s

Well, I didn't feel like taking the risk and decided to just buy some DVD-R's. They are SONY...so let's hope I can back these up correctly.

If you were talking about the DVD-RW when you said risk, I guess you are talking about damaging your PS2 laser?

Sony DVD-R are good if they are the real ones, so you shouldn't have problem with them.
