another on for you

Ok, let's start off with some questions so we can narrow the problem down a bit.

1. Have you made back ups that do work?
2. were they on the same kind of DVD's?
3. What game is it that you have a problem with?
4. How are you loading your back ups on the PS2?
5. when your computer got wiped, did you reinstall the latest firmware version available for your burner.

I can tell you that selecting the MDS file is correct, It is most likely not DVD Decrypter that is the problem as i use it all the time. Unless you just got a bad copy from somewhere.

3. im having trouble with 2 games. (shadow of colossos, The godfather)
4. i use swap magic.
5. dont know what you mean by firmware only the data got wiped.

thats in the dvd drive not the harddrive.... why would that need to be reinstalled?

XBOX v1.0 X2 80GB XBMC pwns j00 || XBOX v1.6 nDUREs Softmods 120GB + HD
Xbox360 Samsung ms25 Xtreme 3.0 + 111d
PS2 v7 scph39001 Matrix Infinity GD

forGET the swap magic and hdloader!!! if you want convenience and have it 100% working, get a modchip.

when you reformat, the firmware is still in the dvd burner its permanent, just like your mobo bios. Doesnt matter if he reformatted the hard drive, the burber will always have the same firmware, so thats not it.
