i just updated my zonealarm to version 6.5.722
that's the latest version,
i didn't change any settings for the program.
So i started a new download with bitcomet which ran for an hour and was finished,now normally,i can always see in the log viewer of the program then that the firewall blocked attempts on my bitcomet port,but for some reason,it doesn't show anything blocked anymore. Does anyone know what i mean? I'll post a pic asap. thanks.
i am and was downloading fine,even with the earlier versions that blocked stuff on that port,you know?
It wasn't totally blocking stuff,it filtered out the bad stuff,you know? that's what the alerts showed in the screenshot...
I am afraid of downloading viruses through bitcomet and torrents in general,that's normal...
So it's still downloading your just not seeing the "bad stuff" show in the firewalls log.
Hmmm yeah sometimes I think the more ZA changes the worst it gets.It's not bitcomet.But you know it may still be filtering, It's just not showing the packets going to those ports in the log.
I never have downloaded a virus with torrent software but I have with p2p like morpheus and limewire.Not many viruses for torrent software.Yeah and a firewall wouldn't do anything anyways unless you install the virus by accident and it asks for firewall access.
Now for the network attacks (unlikely)that's where the firewall comes in at.I don't know ,is there anyway to get the old ZA back? System restore,download site...etc.

the bitcomet thing isn't..; thx anyway. Does anyone use bitcomet together with ZoneAlarm? if so,did you encounter this as well?
