hi ive got a packard bell nec, computer version p700401301, motherboard sis650, motherboard version 1.0, cpu intel pentium 42.0ghz installed memory, 2 slots empty 256mb, ecc.no thats all i can tell you about pc but ive just put another 256mb into pc and for some reason i can get any sound from system or from playing cds or dvds, could i have done something wrong? please can some 1 help? ive system restored back to the day before that didnt work and ive tried to download drivers but that didnt work, any suggestions? running out of ideas, the pc says that there is no conflicts and all is installed ok? i only no that my sound card is a sigma tel audio which was in the pc when i got it so please help.

not in sound but there is 2 in scsi and raid controllers.
scsi/raid host controllers and unknown device . in scsi raid host controllers it says this device cannot start code (10) and it is set as enabled.??? thanks for your help anyway it is very much appreciated as im at my wits end.
