Get DVD Information Fail. 4096 -- How do I correct

I have been trying to back up Band of Brothers for a few months and have tried almost everything with no luck. I have tried 3 different originals (mine and 2 friends') which all had no apparent scratches/dust and one which was practically new. I have tried both with and without AnyDVD. I am using Sony media. My process is DVDFab Decrypter to HDD -> VOBBlanker to HDD -> DVD Shrink to media. I have the most recent versions of all programs. My drivers are updated as of yesterday. All I can get is an error message that says Get DVD Information Fail. 4096. This is the only title I have this problem with. DVD Shrink alone gives an error message saying that the parameter is incorrect. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this problem.

Well, you can try a couple of things. This error normally happens when you have a scratched disk.

First try ripping with AnyDVD. Just right click the little fox in the task bar and tell it to rip. This normally corrects problems, for instance I backed up a DVD with two extra files that were not needed. I couldn't seem to get VOBBlanker to work the structure so I used AnyDVD. Then I ran VOBBlanker.

Another method to fix VOB's that are possibly damaged is to download a free version of IFOEdit. You can find that here. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/ifoe... Only use this if you have the original disk image on the HD.
