i cant get smart ripper as ime in england and it says when i try to load it its performed an elegal act and shuts down could i use dvd shrink cheers for advice
DVD Shrink will do as baabaa says rip/STRIP direct from DVD which seems to be your only option if your not going to spend out on a new HDD (which is defintely needed if persisting in DVD Authoring really)
Another England person here , Smartripper has given me no real headaches !
If no success w/ previous ripper then try DVD-Decrypter and just choose movie-only options (there's not many DVD's after stripping that exceed 6Gb..although some do , obviously)
All in all , you've been given the right advice in this thread : )-
herbsman if i use dvd decripter to rip movie just movie files. if its over 4.3 gbs say if its 6 gbs and i pick the movie files just. if it comes less than 4.3 gbs can i burn it with nero intead of using dvd shrink or do i have to use dvd shrink if movie b4 i rip it is over 4.3 gbs sorry to be a pain
You're alright kinel , we all gots to learn innit !
DVD Decrypter - Movie-Only:
If it's 6Gb still after stripping your in trouble cos you'd need to compress. Which'd need original 6Gb and of course 4.36Gb extra HDD space.
If it's under 4.36Gb you'd be best off I'd imagine using DVD Shrink cos it'll do it all in one process.
Whereas I'd use DVD2One after ripping movie-only.
Either way bro , I'm thinking you could really use some more HDD space..
If I haven't answered to your liking let me know (hope I've helped some)
