well a new mobo it out of the question as i am bulding a new computer but had to stop (lol the last 4 thing i had to buy was mobo 3gb of ram amd dual core and 34 gb WD rator) because i have to pay 4 a wedding and a holiday so think i will go 4 the rubber idear thanx

But dont be too upset that idea is known to speed up your ram. Not fix it. Sorry if i got your hopes up. Worth a go though.

It doesn't sound all that likely, betas will be problematic so try and find an older version, but I'm not sure it'll help. Deffo worth a try though!

If it's only recognising EXACTLY half, it doesn't sound like faulty RAM. I think there's another problem, I guess that mobo really doesn't support it. That's all I can think of!

Well if its a compatibility issue i havent hear of it just recognising half. When you run your computer with half of it working is it unstable or does it work fine?

i dont no i relly dont im only 19 on top of the world peak of my life and all that c*** and im at home trying to get my computer to work sad sad sad lol well look at the brighter side englands playing on sat and im about to instal windows media center eny veiws on it

haha thats no excuse im only 14 mate! And windows media centre is a good application. Handy anyway!
And as for your ram if you dont care about it just leave it like that. If its stable which i assume it is and your not to bothered.
Leave it.

LOL MediaCenter's alright but I've not used it, so I can only say so much. I don't mind charting the success of our country, but I don't really find the game of football all that exciting. Hope England do well though, and so far they have. Doesn't look like much chance for us this weekend though! I'm 18 and I've just ordered a new PC. so we have a little in common!

motherboard is not compatible with that ram as it is high density ram & board only reads low density ram so new motherboard required or different ram.
lecsiy, reduce your sig to 5 lines as per forum rules. have it like what sammorris has except for logo removed bit
