For some reason i am getting a disc read error with this backup.and only this one. I am using dvd decrypt with TYG02 discs from supermedia.com burning at 4x on a LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-1635S YS0R any help would be appreciated.

If it's a V12 it could be that the laser is dying - V12s are known to have that problem without a laser fix

Sorry forgot to include that this was just chipped by team modders about a week ago with a dms4pro and a laser fix. All games work fine (about 50 or so) but this one game has given me problems

Ok... could be a couple of things in that case:
1) A bad burn, try burning it again
2) The image file you burnt from is corrupted, rip the image file again then burn it

DMS4 Pro shouldn't have any compatibility problems, and it doesn't seem to the media problem since you got them from http://www.supermediastore.com/ and burnt at 4x, and shouldn't be a problem with laser if there's a laser fix.

1. does your original work?

2. try updating the firmware to yv6n (as i also have it and use yv6n)

3. with the 1635s burning at 4x is an insult. burn at 4x. i also use tyg02 @ 8x with spectacular results

I appreciate every thing and possibility that has been offered.
I have the orginal, it plays great. I have ripped it and burned it at different sppeeds and still no good results. This baffles me.
