i burned a dvd today with a few video files on it and when it came to 100% it hung for a while then just said something like "write error" and then it said that it did not "write the end of disk at once".
i used a DVD-R disk burned at 8x and with Nero ultra edition 6.3.1.15.
if i insert the disk into my dvd drive again to access the content it just does not see the contents. i open the dvd in windows explorer no error messages come up or any messages and there is nothing in the folder/file section. i suspect this is because the dvd has not been finallised so obviously it cannot access the stuff on it.
now what iam trying to ask, is there anyway that i can get windows explorer or any media player to play/access the videos on it??
thanks

Always use good quality blank media. Verbatim is always a good call. Don't be seduced by those 50-spindles you find in the $2.99 bin at your local car wash! :)

Ok let's see...
Quote: Recorder: <PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-107D>Version: 1.21 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.3.1.15
Your firmware is a couple versions behind. You should upgrade to 1.22 from this page

Using a lot of memory there. Avoid multitasking when burning.

Good man. :-) You're using good quality discs. Sony or Fuji from Japan.
Quote: Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 KB/s)
It is more than possible to obtain great results with the discs you are using when burning at 8x. However, give it a try at 4x to see if it helps.

??? I guess this is where it hangs...
Try upgrading your firmware and burn at 4x. See if it works for you.
Edit: Did some more research on this "Queue again later" error. As I thought, some people have solved it by simply upgrading firmware and burning a bit slower.

Always use good quality blank media. Verbatim is always a good call. Don't be seduced by those 50-spindles you find in the $2.99 bin at your local car wash! :)

Well. When the burn process fails, it's pretty much safe to say you got a nice new shiny Coaster... ;)
