I want to go with the Slim edition, cause I'm planning on get the a monitor to attach to it from here: http://tinyurl.com/hnkz3
Anyway, the places suggested here seemed kind of expensive, though relibale, so I looked around and found this place. Seemed legit, but all that "feedback" could be the webmaster himself. Has anyone else heard of these guys or at least know if it looks legit at all?

if your in the USA then the above Teammodders.com is where i suggest
that is where i get all my work done because i am a moderator at their forums and know they do a great job.
I just got my slim PS2 back after they installed it into a HD Combo case with 250GB internal hard drive. Already had a DMS4 Pro and Summone laer fix.
So now i have the ultimate PSTwo! I have a ton of games on it so far and still have 100GB free. Now i have to get time to test them all.

Thank you both for you replies, (quick!) but unfortantly, neither of you really answered my question. Yes TeamMod may be reliable, but they are alot more expensive than the site I mentioned. So if I add that price plus what I'm paying for the monitor, and shipping, it'll be alot more than I originally was going to spend.
So I appericate the recommendations of TeamMod, but I was wondering about the site I posted in particalar.

As an answer to the original question... I have never heard of them before, and the site is hosted on one of those "free homesite" places.
I'm inclined to be very cautious of selling sites hosted effectively on a "myspace" kind of host. They have a habit of disappearing overnight as soon as your money clears.
Other observations..They have been offering pre-modded xbox 360's advertised to play ALL backups since 27 January.. What a load of crap!!..The firmware mods were not made public until the middle/end of May (27th I believe)..Team PI didn't work out how to dump a 360 iso until after that date as well and the security sector information was in March sometime so what backups could it be proven to play on 27th January??
Another observation.. The firmware hack and software related to it is illegal, particularly the software. No legit business would dare to sell it pre-loaded. Ever seen an xbox or ps2 chip with the bios already installed on it??
Part with your money to them by all means..Just don't put too much faith in ever seeing your goods. That's if your bank account doesn't get cleaned out while you're waiting... :)

agree with janrocks
never heard of them. That is why i could not give any feedback on them.
Also the reason it is so cheap is the cheap-o Myth Lite chip that they put in it. It's a $20 chip where as a good one would be abouit $40-$50. Do some research on chips before you decide to buy one, and never buy from anywhere that doesn't tell you what chip is in their premodded system. You do not even have the choice in the drop down box of paying a little more for a good chip.
Buy it if you want and save a few bucks. But don't say no one warned you about the possibilities of being ripped off, and the fact that you will be getting a cheap modchip.

Yeah, ghostfitters have a good rep. A bit pricey but excellent service from the things I hear.

:/ This forum needs a a "quote" button. :P

I could, but as the Lik-Sang page says for the monitor, the monitor only works with the Slim...so from what I read of you guys I can go with the risk, or play alot more...So there'

What do you mean by a cheap modchip? From the feature list they gave, it'll play any region dvds, ps2 and ps1 backups; from the browser and direct boot, what's wrong with that?
Well overall, I don't want to jepordize my credit card, but the ones from Team Mod are just so expensive...I'll see how much money I can get together quickly and decide based on that.

a modded system is expensive, but if you want the best you have to shell out the money for it.
A slightly used V7 with DMS4 Pro would be worth every penny.
Then you could easily add an internal hard drive and make it like an Xbox where you play all your games from the hard drive rather than discs. This will save your discs from damage and save the laser plus the load times are faster

But can I get this internal harddrive going with the slim? Because if not, then the screen won't be able to work with it, thereby defeating the purpose...

if you have money anything is possible.
you can get your slim PSTwo put into an HD Combo case with a compatible hard drive like i did.
It will be a smaller version of the old fat looking PS2
works great plus the extra bonus feature that this case has 2 fans instead of just one to help with the added haet of the HDD
I also suggest a DMS4 Pro SE mod chip while your at it, and a laser fix if you have a V12
after that you would have the ultimate system.

Hmm, sounds cool, but then we're back to the money thing, I'm not rich, just interested in a getting a specifc system...
Alright, so I guess I'll give up on the harddrive, since it seems too expensive to correctly get it going with the PSTwo Slim. So using the links below, and your expirence with shipping fees (I live in CT, USA btw) how much do you think the below will cost together?
Monitor:
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=26&products_id=8162&
PS2 Slim Premod:
Going with the DMS4 Pro SE I suppose, since you recommended it so highly, but I'd like to know what makes the more and less expensive chips better and worse.
I also noticed a YES or NO for "HDD connect is for slim v12 and v13 ONLY! ($50)" does that mean for 50 dollar extra you'll get a INTERNAL HD for the slim, that will allow games to load faster, AND will still work with the monitor?
Because if that is the case, I'll just save up and go with that option.
Again though, thanks to everyone on Afterdawn for their quick replies.

Hmm, alright. And how does HDLOADER work? If I buy it with my premod will it automatically make loadtimes faster on games, etc. Or do I need to somehow set it up to do that?

Wow, it just came.
Bought premodded with DMSSE Pro Lite from TeamModders, with the HDCombo case and that thing is SWEET. Regular games work great and the pirated stuff will be tested next, the Toxic system bios is hilliarous effective.
More later.
