Well remember that the XBR1/2 SXRD models are alot more expensive than the A2000 models.
Can anyone explain why? I only see a version difference in the WEGA shutter software/hardware.

I know the XBR2's have DRC v2.5, vs. v1.1(?) for the A2000. Also an extra HDMI input. Not necessarily worth the extra dough in my opinion. I believe PS3 games can be up to 1080p, but there is no mandated resolution like with the xbox360.
Edit:
Here are the upgrades from the 60 A2000 to the XBR2:
"Digital Cable Ready" tuner with CableCARD slot
? TV Guide On Screen
? DRC MultiFunction v2.5 video processing with 1080p upconversion
? 2-tuner Picture-in-Picture
? spare projection lamp included
? 3 HDMI inputs
I believe the optics are the same for both sets as well as the variable iris feature.

So, I got an xbox 360 for Christmas. I wanted to get the VGA cable for 1080p games, movies, etc. (you all know the deal). However, on page 60 of the A2000 owner's manual there is a "PC signal reference chart" and the highest resolution listed is 1360x768. Does anyone have a computer or xbox 360 using this input that can verify if the input actually supports 1920x1080? Thanks in advance.

I think the A2000 Series SXRD's don't support 1920 x 1080 thru VGA but I'm sure the XBR2 does. A lot of people have had issues with some Sony 1080p sets and the 360's 1080p signal:

There's been less compatibility issues with the Samsung 1080p sets especially the HL-S Series thru both component and VGA. I read somewhere that MS did it's testing of the 360's 1080p implementation on Samsung HDTV's.

I don't think Sony will be very helpful when the problem involves connecting a Microsoft product to one of its HDTV's. :)

We shall go to the end,we shall fight in France,we shall fight on the seas and oceans,we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,we shall fight on the beaches,we shall fight on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,we shall fight in the hills;we shall never surrender

Yeah I have a KDS-55A2000. Very Happy w/ it so far. Have had it now for about 3 months.
I would've liked to get the new XBR2, but could not afford the extra $1000. Also it only comes right now in 50,60 & 70 inches. 60 inch would be too big for my family room.
Anybody know who or where they sell the new Samsungs w/ the LED instead of the color wheel ? I wanted to see what it looks like.
