ow man i just found out psp 2.5 and 2.6 can run kernel mode and i upgraded my 2.5 to 2.71 yesterday im gonna hate myself for this

lol, that shouldnt make you want the chip any less, UP allows booting iso's without a UMD and direct iso loading, wish my 1.5 could do that:)

im still trying to figure out how to install to save a pretty penny (299 usd for installation) i bought the chip, and i am following the instructions on how to install. its a video at you tube

its in spanish (i know the laguage)
and its really hard to install, but ill manage
by the way, will the chip allow me to play american movies??? (im installing on my imported white one) i want to play my family guy (i live in us)

I have a theory, ive heard of cases in which people may run windows98,95 or even xp.
My theory is this:
A PSP, that runs windows in addition with a 4GB HDD (or memorystck, yes it exists) could run emulators and roms easy.
For instance, connect the hdd or stick to a pc, and then transfer the files for Mame32 and a rom. Run the emulator on the psp using windows.
A PSP is 333 mhz, thats more than enough to run mame32 or any other simple emulator (nes,genesis)
Is this theory possible?

MY THEORY PROVED TRUE!!!!!
AND I GOT THE MOD CHIP INSTALLED BY FOLLOWING THE SPANISH INSTRUCTION ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!
i WORKS EXCELLENT BUT TOOK ME A NERVE WRACKING HOUR TO COMPLETE. I WAAS SOOOOOO NERVOUS, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER SOLDERING ANYTHING AND IM SUCCESSFUL YAY!
SORRY, A LIL EXCITED
WELL, ALL IVE TRIED SO FAR IS PLAYING AN AMERICAN REGION MOVIE ON IT (ITS A WHITE JAPANESE PSP) AND IT WORKS!!!!!
