Sharing Violation in Nero Burning Rom

I have Nero 7.2.3.2 and when I try to re-save a CD compilation .NRA file, I receive the following message: "A Sharing Violation occurred while accessing 'my compilation.NRA'".
If I save it as another file name (that doesn't exist, it works fine).
Any idea why this is happening?
P.S. It also happens in 7.0.8.2

All I might think is that the file is in use by a program. Probably the one you are using. Are you in the basic part of the program or farther along on one of the burning pages?
I just checked in an earlier version, and all I get if I try to resave a compilation is a "Do you want to replace" message if I do a Save As. If I just hit save, it seems to work fine.
I will check your version soon. The version I use is listed below.

I just tried it in your version and it seemed to work OK. I did not however, actually burn the compilation. I also was using NeroBurning ROM which I started without using Nero SmartStart.

I'm at the Compilation window. If I run Process Explorer and look for processes holding the .NRA, I find RMADEC.EXE (a Child of Nero.exe) only.

Well, now might be a good time to ask--which utility are you using in Nero 7?
I can't seem to find the process to which you refer using Process Explorer. I may not be doing the search right, but it doesn't seem to be there. Have you tried killing it to see what happens?
Google says something about it being a utility that scans for scsi devices, but I don't have it on my system if I search for it, and this is a clean install of XP and Nero 7.

I started from Start, Programs, Nero 7, Audio, Nero Burning ROM .
I Click, File, Open the .NRA, RMADEC.EXE appears (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins )
And yes. it was a clean install.
This problem has been happening on and off.
Usually if I wait a few releases, it goes away.

One more strange thing. That file RMADEC.EXE only appears in the AudioPlugins folder when Nero is running. When I shutdown Nero, it disappears. Weird!!!!

Sorry, I still don't show it on either computer. Have you ever had Nero 5 installed?
If you do a search for it, you don't show the file on your system in any hidden or system files, except when NeroBurning ROM is running?
I do not have InCD installed, in case it comes from there. Google seems to think it is a Nero file, but not much information. There was one page that talked about some device you might have on your system could be related to the file--some type of storage device, like a Zip drive or something similar.

I guess I should also add, I don't run Nero Scout.

@spetragl
It sounds like Nero is locking up this file - reason for the sharing violation after the burn it finished.
As Saltgrass pointed out do you have InCD installed?
@Gwen
It seems this also happened to spetragl with version 7.0.8.2.

I never had Nero 5.
I do have InCD, but thanks to Gwendolin it's working fine.
All I do is open Nero Burning Rom, then the 'NRA file.
I try to save it (without burning) and I get that wonderful message.
Nero History is blank Unless of course I really burn something).
InCD Error is blank.

Now that's interesting. I followed that tip to kill the RMADEC process, and guess what? It now saves every time.
Sounds to me like Nero is supposed to scan SCSI devices, then quit. But it's not quitting.
So I guess this is a temporary patch, till they fix it for real.

Hey spetragl
So killing that process in task manager worked for you. Good tip for those who run into.
Yes it should just scan and then end. Instead it looks like it just hanging things up.
Geez though I would have though Nero would have solved this by now - heck it goes back to 2004!

Did you see this part in the thread I referenced?
Quote: Our Engineer went to the page http: / /neroplugins.cd-rw.org and found there a plugin with an almost identical description:
RM/RA "RealNetworks RealMedia/RealAudio". They downloaded this file, extracted it (to nxmyreal.dll) and searched in the file for rmadec.exe
And found it. That means: The RM/RA Plugin is one possible cause for the problem.
This was written by someone that used to hang out here who worked for Nero. You might do a search of your system for the nxmyreal.dll file, just in case. I modified the URL so someone wouldn't accidently go there (spaces between /).

Have you overcome your problem or does it still exist?

Let's give saltgrass a hand!
I was able to read that article in detail and found that plugin in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins.
I deleted it and now the problem is gone. RMADEC doesn't even appear.
Thanks again.
