I had a virus that did that to morpheus once.

Your closing it completely right not just minimizing it to the trey? And it's just opening itself.

Same thing happened to me, and I ended up deleting Limewire right off my PC. I think that's what you need to do, delete Limewire, then run the usual anti-adware/spyware programs like Ad-Aware, Spybot and HijackThis. Did you download an .exe and run it? That's what I done. :( Ah well, you live and learn.

I'm not saying you got a virus but limewire doesn't open by itself. If you downloaded an app and clicked it than you have something on your pc that shouldn't be.

Check your firewall and see if you have any apps that you don't recognize asking for access. Also check your processes and disable the network adapter and see if it still wants to open.

Click start > run > msconfig, under the start up tab uncheck limewire's entry, click ok & reboot, click yes to the pop up fron windows at start up and check "Remember this setting" or "Do not show this message aggain".

i delete my cookies and offline data everyday... so thats not it... i never open any unknown execution file, and neither does any other users of this computer. PC-Cillin looks for spyware... found nothing... and i tried the msconfig, but limewire doesnt have an entry, which is unusual... as for the firewall, wenever i go to it it says it cant open due to an undetermined problem... anyone no how to fix that aswell? please... any help is good...
