My DV Camera is a Canon MV550i.
I have a quite simple problem and if any of you could be of help it would be great!
Ive edited my piece to perfection with Adobe Premier 6. 5 But adding music to my work isnt very satisfying as mp3s sound horribly stuttery and garbled when imported into Premier, Wav files are much better but still sound pretty robotic and nowhere near the quality of a normal mp3. Usually when i transfer these files [mp3 or wavs, ive even tried Aif files] and check their properties on timeline they are said to be of 16bit quality and 48hz, thus explaining the pretty poor sound. But audio captured witth the MV550i's internal mic sounds excellent and it possesses the same qualities!
Thus i was wondering if there was a way to increase the quality of audio in Premier by perhaps increasing these settings?
Heres another case:
For example: i originally imported a piece of audio in mp3 format and it was atrocious. Thus i converted it to WAV and applied it to receive far better results, the stuttering was non existant when i played the time line through.
Now this is the strange thing...when i exported my timeline to miniDV tape and proceeded to hook my camera up to the vcr to transfer to normal vhs , a crackling permeates the audio piece at seemingly randomised intervals. Every time i try to transfer to vhs a terribly loud click emanates during the playing of this one audio piece and the sound is present on the final transfer.
Whereas further on the tape theres another audio piece which is perfect.
Any assistance rendered shall be appreciated immensely,
Regards,
Vinnie.

VINNIE
