A super easy way to backup your copy protected DVDs!

This program is a freeware utility that serves to help you backup your copy protected DVDs.

Recently released DVDs are now very often equipped with stronger copy protections - such as ARccOS? and RipGuard DVD - that programs like DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter have problems handling.

With the help of RipIt4Me, ripping these DVDs will be very easy. The program is fully automated and the wizard will guide you thru all the necessary steps involved. If you prefer, there is also a true "1-Click" mode that will perform all the involved steps automatically for you

The current version is 1.0.0.0 and you can download the program in the link at this page.

This is one great little program, I used it on 8Below, which has protection out the a$$ on it. Used it in Wizard mode, it created a PSL file which it imported into DVD Decrypter. DVD Decrypter then ripped it and you had the option to remove blank cells, which I did. Then you could open with Shrink, but Shrink still did not like the file. So you have the option of using FixVTS and ran it through that, the file was cleaned up. Opened in Recode and compressed and burned. Ny description may sound complicated but it is really not, and as long as you dl FixVTS and just point RipIt4Me to the .exe file it will work. You must create a folder for your rip with a VIDEO_TS sub in it to hold the files. But it is another free way to do things and no problems or hassles with this.

To say I am impressed is not enough, this give Decrypter and Shrink new life. Whoever is the author I applaude he/she, it is one great little program.

Annapolis crashed and burned in wizard mode for me but was OK in one-click mode although it took seemingly forever for Decrypter to rip with the PCL file and FixVTS to do its thing afterwards. Some will like it, some will not. The author did a great job in automating the process with available free software and that in itself is a wonder. However, it's too slow for me and since I already own AnyDVD, I won't be using it.

Granted it is slow with having to use FixVTS, but it takes as much time as would DVDFab and the VobBlanker. I too have AnyDVD but it is nice to know that there is still a free way to go that works. The AnyDVD ripper has FixVTS incorporated into it, this is just and extra step with Decrypter.

@arniebear

I agree with you on all counts. The user still has to have some idea about how to use DVD Shrink to compress and reauthor and burn. The rest is automatic.

Just did Syriana, 20 minutes to rip and use FixVTS. Then 4 inutes for movie only to compress in Recode and another 8 minutes to burn on Verbatim 16x at 8x speed. Not too bad.

Looks like a great new freeware alternative. I already have AnyDVD, though. However, I may still use from time to time for titles that I like to use Recode2 for instead of CloneDVD2 (90%+) or DVDRebuilder (below 75%)...

@teflonmyk

Check out this thread, if you already haven't.

pazzini posted some new comparisons of transcoders and encoders doing Saving Private Ryan at 49% compression, you can see how they stack up.

Quick Reference Guide for RipIt4Me, just used Wizard Mode in the program, but maybe it will help :)
