Sorry, I don't know what else to title this thread.

I've been running Nero 2.3 or so (I think), along with DVD Shrink, and AnyDVD, for a long time now. Never felt the need to upgrade Nero...then, against my will (cutting out long story)...I go to install Nero 7.

Anyway, I set a system restore point, I use the cleaning utility that the copy of Nero 7 came with (that my cousin sent me). I then restart, and go to install 7. The file is messed up, so it doesnt install. Okay, no big deal, I don't care anyway.

I go back to my restore point, and now my computer doesn't recognize that my drives are DVD drives (just CD). DVD Shrink won't burn, and Nero say something along the lines of it no knowing what stage in the burning it is at, while burning. I tried to install Nero 6.6, and now AnyDVD is telling me I have no DVD drive!

What the hell did I do? ;_;

Welcome to Nero Today! I've just spent three hours uninstalling Nero And ANY DVD for the same reasons.I had inCd installed by Nero however they did it and Any DVD telling me no installed drives. Used Nero Clean tool and tried installing Nero back on then Any DVD and got the same messages. So then uninstalled ANY DVD Then Nero Clean uninstall incd then Nero Clean tool then reinstalled Nero 7 Then ANY DVD everything back to normal except not allowed to update when I went to update Nero 7 it won't allow me to update past my original disks. Same message No FTP, no Http, and then says no internet connection.They've got some type of glitch. Chris

Lemme get this straight...you uninstalled AnyDVD...then did the cleaning of Nero, then installed Nero 7, then reinstalled AnyDVD...and now everything is fine?
Hmmm....

Ihad to do it twice because incd had to be uninstalled with clean tool [I've never had this on ] Then Nero uninstalled with clean tool and AnyDVD uninstalled and reinstalled And every things fine nut I'm stuck at 7.0 Just tried to update one last time tonight with every thing off fire wall anti virus and can't get anywhere and no more warnings from AnyDVD and it's recognizing my drives again. The incd was only showing in the quik launch and I just recieved an email from Nero to update my Nero 7 and receive 50 free music downloads from emusic. I never replied but maybe that's how the incd got there. Love Nero but today it's trying to become an X wife . Chris
