Hello,
I'm still having problems with this backup and I was hoping someone here could help - my symptoms are exactly the same as jd and dusk's but still I'm getting chucked off after the first level's intro movies.
Did you guys get this going at all with DevHook 1.41d for the first level? It looks like you did - please tell me what settings you used (sounds like a crazy question, but I'm running out of ideas!) I only ask because I'm getting nowhere with DAX and it would be great to know that my backup actually works in single player - after that I could fiddle with DAX some more knowing my iso is good.
When I try this with Dax, I just get a solid orange light on the ms indicator. I think I may have a problem with RunUMD - what firmware version should I be dumping? The only disc with an update I have is Tenchu - do I need a 2.5 dump for example?
Alternatively, maybe the problem could be the filename I use for the ISO. Though as the .bat file works from an extract, I don't suppose that's the case. I've even tried using the .bat as a recipe and manually doing the work and applying the patch with UMDGen, to no avail.
It'd be great to have some suggestions, I'd really appreciate it, can't wait to beat this stubborn thing!
Thanks,
Muraka

Apparently this works with devhook 0.42 you can start the first level with no freezes, I'm gonna check it out myself.

You are quite right Dusk!
Got it going on my very last attempt. The first thing I tried yesterday was trying DH0.42 but it wasn't working at all - asking me to upgrade. I had just replaced the devhook folders in GAME and the dh at the root. So HOURS later, I backed up my stick, reset to default, stuck 0.42 and retried the ripkit jd and you got going and it got going - unbelievable. Didn't have time to play through much yet so maybe tempting fate/freezes.
Thanks for the heads up anyways. If anyone else has the same problem, just take the long way around and start with untouched everything.
Cheers.

I think I did, I tried so many things I don't even remmember, however if I did try the ripkit it didn't work for my iso, probably don't have an untouched iso... I'll have to check it out again when I get home in a bit.

Its down to 817mb... the NFO file included in the kit is the most detailed one that I've read so far.

As far as the game goes, I can't even get past the first two songs..lol, I'm thinking if it were in English I'd be better at it, who knows :D

I am having the same problem with the ISO fix truing the file into a 0k file. It sucks that you have to use 2 different loaders. Is there another way? Or better yet does it work correctly in devhook 44?

Yea I know what you mean, I haven't tried DH 0.44 or for that matter DH 0.45 might run it with no glitches, its worth a shot.
