Official Taiyo Yuden or official Verbatim are the best ones to use for PS2 backups also go for 8x or lower DVD's and don't burn them higher than 4x also don't go for DVD-/+RW and if you don't know what booktyping is then go for DVD-R and not DVD+R, if you follow all them rules then you should have backups that will be good for years to come, the setup you have doesn't really matter its more to do with the combination of media and burner you use.

PS You were unlucky in the World cup against Brazil, could say the same for England but rather Cristiano Ronaldo cheated us out of the world cup and its rumoured Rooney's gonna smack him when they return back to England. lol

Hi bowlt
As we find Taiyo Yuden almost imposable to buy in Oz [if you can find some @ a reasonable price let me know.] I find Ritek G05's & 8x Verbs to be the go. Then follow paul1085's advice for the rest.

I always use DVD-R as I don't have a burner that can booktype however booktyping DVD+R to DVD-ROM is meant to improve compatability so your call.
