No. The exploit is a joke, and a certain member that will rename nameless LOL bricked 6 psp's trying the downgrade. I wouldnt get my hopes up if i were you, the chip is still your best option.

Ummm, i dont want to talk about it lol:D Aside from almost breaking the damn psp do to sheer anger caused by how small all the components are, its going great.......as long as that means not very well LOL. As of right now, the psp is sittng in a corner waiting for my buddy to give it a go at later tonight. After a few shots and a couple Corona's we will give it another shot:D

The 2.6 downgrader now works, iv seen no reporrts of bricks and about 100 successes. Id say dont buy a chip, and do-it-yourself, now that it is possible :)

It wernt a bs number, it was an exaggeration to show that alot of people have been successful when you are trying to turn people away from downgrading by using sarcastic comments...

Im not wrong about anything, dont make me link threads you are in, that will further show your ignorance. I gurantee you have no experience besides making a game work using a loader, and therefore shouldnt spew bs to others members who are looking for actual help. Yes the downgrade works, but let the people that have experience help others, such as Dark_Alex, Ravenlife and others THAT HAVE GOT IT TO WORK.
BTW - looks like you wont be selling your psp and pirated games on Ebay now, so sad:(

Its been selling for the last 4 days if youve taken notice, actually. Because i have 2.
And i dont see anyone asking for help in this thread, do you?
So maybe get your facts straight before you go shouting your mouth off.

Of course ...lol..
And of course it never good advice to recommend someone try the downgrader is they haven't tried it themselves... lots of nervous 2.5/2.6 owners right now.
The way it looks and if I were to try this, I would wait a couple weeks until a full version is released before I'd try downgrading... after all its still a beta.

YES, I tried it! AND IT WORKED! I didnt care what svtstang said, he never even tried it. This was my only PSP, but I used the new Downgrader and it worked!
