I own Nero 7 Premium. I like Anime, and generally they have 4 episodes on one disc. The AVI files that I burn to the disc have some issues. I've used Nero Vision and just used Nero Express. The DVD burns fine (I use DVD-R TDK), but when I'm watching the episodes, when the poeple talk, it is out of sync. Like there is a 2 second difference from when they open there mouths to when you hear them actually talking. Why is that? Can someone please explain what I need to do.
When you are converting, make sure you are not using your computer. Tuen off all your apps that you do not need and close your internet connection. After you convert, test the anime on your computer first. If the audio and video is in sync, then burn on dvd at 4x.
Is this a common problem. I used to use 1Click DivXtoDVD, but for some reason that stuffed up on me. But when I did use it, and for the AVI's that I did burn, they turned out like perfect copies. Now that I come to use Nero, all these problems occur. I understand Nero has some bugs that desperately need software updates for. But honestly, why would this happen? What if I said that I've tried closing all apps on the computer, and changer speeds when I'm writing the files to my computer. I've tried several things. I read that thread - To Convert AVI to DVD with Nero Vision 4 (basic guide). Didn't make any difference. Does anyone have any answers?
I've had the same issue with Nero 6 & Nero 7. I finally gave up. I've read tons of threads here on this issue, and nobody has a final solution to make Nero work for everyone. I can only speak for myself, but I've tried many different settings and configurations, and I finally gave up on Nero. I am in the process of switching to either ConvertXtoDVD or WinAvi/DVDShrink.
I did use DVDSanta to finish burning the anime series I had on my computer, it seemed to work pretty well and it has an animation setting, all the discs I burned with it turned out VERY well. The only reason I won't stick with DVDSanta is because there are no menus, or video mode settings [it burns in SP only = 120 minutes, which gives you 4 - 5, 23 minute episodes per disc], and it pre-selects chapters [I think there's 9 per episode]. The quality seemed good though!
Good luck to you, and if you do happen to read a sure-fire solution to Nero's a/v sync problems, please let me know. I love Nero when it's working properly for all the options and it being an easy to use all-in-one program.
